The Household Income and Labour Dynamics recent survey interviewed 17,000 Australians about their happiness and the contributing factors......key findings were...men are more satisfied with their partners than women....people who live in smaller towns enjoy higher levels of life satisfaction....women who live in Queensland appear to be happiest.....people in de facto relationships are more satisfied with their partners...happiness wanes once children arrive and the longer a relationship lasts.....So apparently according to the survey the happiest people in Australia are childless single women living in a small town in Queensland 😄 xxFreya

I'm interested in the "why" Men are happier in relationships than women. Why? People who live in smaller towns are happier. Why? etc, etc. It's all speculation, but maybe the answer to "Why are men happier in relationships than women?" is down to the gender roles adults have an inclination of slipping into once the knot is tied.

And drunk, non-smoking, exercise and work addicts who is knows their neighbours. They're sure fitting in a lot into their day. But if they're single without children - certainly frees up a bit of the day.

I was a single childless woman living in a small town in qld until February this year and while I was happy I can't say I was entirely content lol hmmmm much happier being in a metro area, still single and childless (more circumstance than choice) - Posted from rhpmobile

The best thing is also the worst,everybody knows everybody...but there is a sense of connectedness and community that big cities usually lack...gender roles...well everybody needs a wife 😀xx Freya
