As a couple, not an issue! Book a room, we don't need to drive, all's good, we get a kid free night and have fun together even if all goes to shit! As a single you don't have a plan B🤷🏻♂️ As a single, I don't know.... at the moment hotels are empty and you can make a last minute booking, maybe that the option

I often ask a contact to go halves. He has to book it as I can't afford to use my credit card anymore. But it's usually someone I have already met. It wouldn't be short notice. Lol unless the other person has already organised it.

I recall meeting up with someone in Sydney CBD and trying to find accommodation. Our only option was a dodgy looking place. The bed looked like it belonged in a hospital ward and it had a itchy wool blanket. The mission for a room and the atmosphere made one night of fun, all the more memorable.
