  They also say you have mail if someone sent you a flirt. So it may it be an email at all.

  I had the same problem, until I saw that I had messages in the non matching section. In mailbox you will see in the headings, All messages, Matching, ( which show up), and Non matching, which don't for some reason. You might find your missing messages in there.

  Onto the persons profile,there is a message history on the right hand side,open that....if there is a message it will appear there....also messages are matching or non matching...see if it is in the non matching and click on there... Other than that,go down to the shore.there might be a bottle' bobbing there :-) :-) xx Q

  If you are logged into the site and have already opened and read the message you will still receive a notification by email that one has come thru but not until later. If I am online and chatting with someone with messages going back and forwards you can bet that as soon as I log out I will get an email showing lots of messages waiting for me !!! Make sure the email is actually yours. I have also had an email come thru that says someone elses profile name !!! A flirt will show up on an email notification as a love heart and an actually message will show as an envelope.

  In the past... Maybe the person who messaged you deleted their profile ? Hp xo💋 Because you're worth it...

  Thanks everyone for your replies. Most appreciated. Meeka - I checked later with the sender, it was a message rather than a flirt. Kokoflamingo - my inbox seems to be set to display all messages, checked non matching section, again no message. Qefenta2 - I think I will go to the shoreline and look for that bottle you mentioned, it might be more reliable! BrightBubbly - yes, I've had the same problem, exchanged a few messages, but one missed after log out because it's taken 2+ hours to become visible. Highpriority - profile still there and communicated since. All rather strange. Thanks to all who replied so far, really appreciate the contributions. Great to read first hand how helpful members are.
