RHP to just browse and get horny?

Been on here for approximately a month now. Done a fair few swipes, some gorgeous women on here which I contacted (platinum) created some dates but never had a response. Is it even worth it or is it just a waste of my time. Maybe it's just me, simple as that. Thought this could be a fun app to bring some excitement back to my life after being in a relationship for almost 20 years and potentially find someone I might have a strong connection with. Has anyone have had the same experience? A waist of time?

Considered a platinum membership but not going to as it may only go to waste. Convince me otherwise

As a single male on here you are competing against thousands of other men...the amount of men outweigh the amount of women significantly. Us women are spoiled for choice and our inboxes are bombarded daily so chances are that many of those men's messages go unread or unreplied. Pay a subscription and give yourself more options to reach out to more women...add more to your profile information. Make your first message to a woman something better than "how are you" or a copy and paste essay that you send to everyone. Get along to some social events in your area as its a great way to meet people. Good luck

My view (only a personal view as a woman in a couple, I'm very happy to be corrected by others!) is that it's much easier for couples and single women to find a match here. Single guy competition is ridiculously high and (I don't have stats here, just my guestimation) couples more often search for unicorns rather than single guys if they're looking for a 3 people scenario. Again, we're a couple so the profiles and conversations we see here may be very biased by the algorythm and profile / group recommendations we have, but even to get to an event is a challenge for a single guy. So whether you're wasting your time purely depends on what you're trying to find here and how much of that time you're willing to invest. But would be interesting to see perspectives of other single people.

Personally I don't think it's remotely worth it, and I've foolishly done it a few times. I average between 2 and 6 views on my profile a month on Platinum, so the throughput isn't there. It's not simply about how well you write a profile; you're very heavily outnumbered. We're also in a short-attention span, swipe left or right world where people are time poor and copping it from all directions. I know women on here in particular get flooded pretty much the moment they sign up which sounds like a management nightmare. Unless you pass a very high bar in terms of expectations or desires, it's unlikely you'll get responses. I also think algorithms work against us in modern dating type sites as well (in the last decade or so), pretty much designed to work on insecurities and get you into subscriptions that don't deliver. It's not great for your mental or self-esteem. I've had a lot more success offline at social events, especially making new friends! Give it a go

This site is has various avenue's for single men. Have you tried the chat room or popped over to the events page! There's plenty of single guys on here in the same situation as you. Some throw the worst tamper trantrums and crack the shits because their expectations are not met, some disappear faster than road runner and some just fit right it (pun intended). It's up to you and your attitude. Best of luck Ms Foxy

We met on RHP so we’re reasonably sure it works as a platform. Hubby’s solo profile was genuinely very quirky and seemed very different from so many others that I pursued him… maybe you need to make your profile more interesting? Gym pics, standard sort of interests… what is the reason to pick you over literally a thousand others that all read and look the same? I can’t remember the fellows username but he had pics of him dressed as a pirate and another like Hercules or something and a wild and crazy profile… we couldn’t align times but he looked and sounded FUN

Beginning is hard for every single bloke mate. Get a couple of good validations and everything will change. This is not Tinder and some cockheads have made life hard for singles with bad behavious and plenty of no shows, so couples and single girls want to be sure of who they are datinf

Your bio reads ok - but I’d remove most of the gym photos. The one of you in the mustard jumper and blue vest is really nice. Platinum means nothing, to be honest. I know you ‘expect’ a reply, but the amount of messages women get is insane and so we don’t actually owe anyone anything - even if you are a paying member. Your opening message really matters. If it’s a simple ‘hi’ ‘hey’ ‘hello’ or something insulting of a sexual nature, you’ll generally get ignored. Women get lots of choice here - so your message really needs to stand out. Read the bio of the person you are messaging and make your intro tailored to what she has in it. Dont send a bulk copy + paste message to everyone. There is sooooo much insights on the forums on what works/doesn’t - immerse yourself in them while you’re on the couch doom scrolling, there are answers right in front of you! Good luck, be respectful, have fun!

I have to concur here. I was a guest member for quite a while then decided to pay for a subscription to try and connect with someone. I have sent heaps of messages, sent likes etc and I think I have had one reply and about 3 views. It is disheartening when you try your best to reach out and not get any response.
