Ok I get that it's cute and funny.......cuter and funnier the younger you are. But to use these filters on your profile pic is misleading. They make you look much younger therefore setting people up for potential disappointnent if you arrange a meet.

There are filters that are the equivalent of soft focus photography - no ears or whiskers or anything, but suddenly your friend looks like they have had twenty years wiped from their face.

The 10 year photo challenge. I juxtaposed photos of myself, and my family, from now and ten years ago. The years have been good to us all. We are alive and healthy and that's all that matters. Ageing is the trade off for living.

Koko & Okey, they'd soften the vision for the female stars. Always annoyed me to no end. MischeviousLad, people are going to think you are no fun! 😂 I don't get it but I know people have a lot of fun with snapchat. I have a pic taken by someone else around somewhere lol. We did have a good laugh that day. People using it as a profile pic... I'd hope they find the person to appreciate them for who they are. I don't mean filters that beautify when I say that. That comes across as a bit deceptive. 🍑

Men with fish!! Haha, there’s sooooo many profile pictures of men with fish, they’re equally as despised as Snapchat filters in my eyes. And while I’m at it..(haha)..action shots! People who have nothing but adventurous action shots on their dating profile make me tired just scrolling through their pics, show me how you look sleeping on the couch with one hand down your pants, I wanna see the REAL you! 😂

Not one person says they are just harmless fun. I've never encountered such a seeming widespread hatred of a fad, and for good reason. Pics with those stupid weird filters is just plain creepy. And immature and juvenile, in my opinion. I'm sure some people find it sexy or funny for some reason. That is for them to enjoy but I won't have a bar of it. To each their own. I have more important things to do in real life than toying with stupid filters. Maybe I'm a grumpy team member. haha

I’ve taken more selfies in the last few weeks than I have in my entire lifetime. And in my entire lifetime I’ve probably taken 20. And most of those are on here. Why do I take selfies? Because I want to be able to share a very real and normal view of myself with a potential lover. I own my size and age and yes I have wrinkles, scars, cellulite and skin folds (no warts just yet!) but they are part of me. I also want to protect my privacy so choose to offer a glimpse into my personality and appearance through cropped photographs. The day I’m ashamed of my appearance, desire to deceive others or am so obsessed with myself I think I’d look cuter with a puppy dog’s ears and nose ..... well let’s just say I would be out of here. I respect everyone’s right to share photos or not. To show nudity or not. But leave the filters to the kids and just be real.

So glad it’s not just me, it’s not just the bunny ears ones either, I have seen friends post pics with filters so strong you can only make out some features... they remind me of the weird disembodied face on the old Mulligrubs tv show.

We hate them. It’s gotten to the point where we won’t meet anyone who has Snapchat filters on their profile unless they show us clear, recent non Snapchat photos of themselves. We have been mislead more than once and it’s just awkward meeting someone who looks nothing like their photos (we refuse to use them ourselves for any of our photos). A close friend of ours uses Snapchat for everything, she has no non Snapchat filtered photos at all and wonders why when she meets people off Tinder that they never want to catch up with her again. Her photos are extremely misleading. I just don’t understand why people do it, it never ends well. 🤔

Snap chat filters dont bother me. I do prefer the old time filter of alcohol when you never knew till the next day if you'd scored a keeper or needed to chew your arm off pmsl and that goes both ways.

Agree that if you’re over 30 and you’re using Snapchat for the majority of your photos, you need to put the phone down and leave the bunny ears and kitty whiskers to the 16 year olds. A soft filter is ok now and then. But we can all tell you’re using it when in every photo your eyes are super glossy and disproportionately big to your face.

Ahaha Damn I only tried a couple last week they are a bit funny!! Especially the superimposed face pic on a dancing sausage!!🥳 I used to be so outraged when friends began using these.... as it’s misleading!!... I agree with the profile pic maybe something to be shared amongst the people that love you the most... 😉
