There are many men that prefer a larger and curvier woman, so much more fun to play with and enjoy. I guess it all comes back to personal preferences, I know guys who will only look at 'model' figures and to be honest can be quite rude about other ladies. That just leaves more for those guys that appreciate them though!

Fat, skinny, tall, short, they're just the shells we are in. I know bitchy fat girls, just like I know really sweet slim girls.And the whole "real women have curves" mantra. Argh!!! How dare someone suggest that a woman is less real due to her body shape and genetics!!!! These kind of comments, and I hear it a lot from women, are detrimental and not required and go against the grain of so much I believe in, that all people are equal and should be treated with respect.Sure, be attracted to fat girls, or thin girls, or girls in monkey suits, but don't make out that the other girls you're not attracted to are lesser people.As an aside, sometimes I think guys say they're attracted to fat chicks just so they'll have more of a chance to get their ends wet, because the guys that genuinely prefer fatties are definitely in the minority.

Nobody is saying fat girls are more attractive than thin girls, and yes, you're right, the guys who genuinely do prefer fatties are always going to be in the minority. Fat just doesn't look as attractive, I'll give you that! It's just that the attraction of a woman for some men, not all, is the feel of them, or a more rounded shape. And it does all boil down to personality in the end, and what attracts each individual. You can have some chubby girls who have confidence issues with their bodies and they will never be sexy, just as some slim girls will have the same issues because they are miserable they can't be a perfect size 8! Isn't it all about how you strut your stuff, no matter what size or shape you are? Having confidence, a sexy twinkle and that certain feminine mystique will tend to keep the ones you attract coming back for more. :)

I appreciate that everyone's definition of beauty belongs to them alone, but when I became single, I lost 25 kg and got into the best shape that I'd been in since my twenties. Why? Because I believed that a fat man in his forties had little chance of finding fit women, which was what I was seeking. Accordingly, I don't think it's unfair of me to apply the same reasoning to larger women. I didn't see myself as sexier when I was larger and although some women may have, I suspect they would have been a small minority. At least I hope so - it was tough to shed a couple of ciinder blocks of weight!!

I am not attracted to larger men but I dont mind a little extra padding and when I became single and was ready to play, I too took a good long hard look at myself (naked in the mirror works best) and promtly went on a diet and joined the gym. I have since lost 20ks and still have a way to go. If I do not find my naked self attractive, how can I expect someone else to? If I like a man who looks after himself, then it stands to reason that I should do the same. No matter how much weight I lose, I am always going to have those womanly curves as that is my body type. Being overweight is not attractive in man or woman and is a health issue. I do realise that there is such a thing as being large as well as fit but the simple matter is losing weight is an equation. How much energy we consume compared to how much energy we use! Get up and away from the computer, start moving all those jiggly bits and not not whinge if someone does not find you attractive. Love yourself first and the rest will surely folllow. Off to the gym Fionabee

"being overweight is not attractive in man or woman and is a health issue". Actually overweight is not a health issue, and I have problems with people wheeling this one out all the time. It may have been for you when you were fat, but it isn't for everyone. It's quite rare I'll jump on the fat activism bandwagon, having some difficulties with some of the philosophy myself, however for anyone reading this who is fat, and who maybe likes their fat (yes I know people like that exist because I'm one of them, much to the distress of my PT) please read up on HAES principles (health at every size). Also, I know some hot & sexy & extremely attractive people who are overweight, both men & women. Just because it was the right thing for you to do doesn't make it the right thing for everyone. I'll take my grumpy hat off now :)

Sorry if I tread on someones bunions but let us remember here that Australia is now the fattest nation in the world. Telling people it is okay (and yes even desireable) to be overweight is saying it is acceptable for our nation to be the fattest. I will admit that I am no string bean nor bag of bones and never will be. However my weight is still higher than it should be and at least I work at it instead of wondering why men do not find me attractive.

Fionabee, I think what you say about finding yourself attractive is an excellent point. In my own case, I had very little confidence that women would find me attractive and I think it's impossible for some of that negativity not to creep out into how we interact with prospective partners. I also find that exercise is excellent for the mind - I went from being unfit, lethargic and negative to being fit, active and confident. Even leaving aside the weight loss, those three factors improved my odds immeasurably.Polar_Bear_Girl, I was supposed to be on high blood pressure medicine for life, but when I lost the weight, I insisted that my doctor let me do a trial without it. It was absolutely fine and has remained so since. Whether that's due to the weight loss or fitness is a moot point, as I was a job lot. Also, without a fitness program rigorous enough to shed the weight, I wouldn't be confident that I would have been able to get fit enough to get off it.I offer my own experience not because I'm gloating, but because it's first-hand experience and because I don't want to be seen to be putting anyone down. We're all beautiful, but finding someone is a numbers game and for better or for worse, the most successful will fall into a certain body type.

As human beings as a hole we are majorly over weight. because the average is so fat we think Normal size girls are to skinny.If your large its because you eat tubs of ice cream, dorito's and bags and bags of crap. This is to deal with some underlying issue, or just that your lazy, which are two things that are very unattractive.But dont take it to heart. Enjoy life and wait for them to roll out the forklift to remove you from your house.
