Wow! I never expected this kind of reaction. I'm just a genuine guy wanting to see a girls face to tell initially if I'm attracted to them or not. I've seen other posts of a similar manner. Why is it assumed I'm a pervert! If a girl has no profile pic then I may not look further and find out how special they are. Maybe I chose the wrong choice of words in my first ever post. fairly new to this but have had an experience in the past on a different forum where pictures were posted and i had people I didn't know say hello to me in the street... I personally don't want that - I'd prefer they get to know me and I them first. With a family I want to make sure I'm safe and so are they.

As a first time poster, welcome. They call this place the sandpit for good reason. If you read through other threads, you will realize that most threads start out with backlashes of opinion before they (sometimes) stabilize into a rational discussion laced with irreverent banter from amongst the regular posters, but it is also a place to nut out differences of opinion and appreciate how diverse the members of this site actually are, so don't take it all too personally. It's a bit of a trial by fire. With a bit of persistence, you may find some of these devils are angels in disguise. To respond on topic, I agree that a facial pic is worth more than 100 body shots put together, but most people will keep those in their private galleries so they can talk about their sexual leanings without getting recognized down the street next time they go to buy some milk :-)

You didn't mention that you were mainly interested in a face picture in your original question. You have to forgive the women as there are lots of men that only want to see nude photos of the women and it gets really annoying after awhile so sometimes we are a little sensitive on the subject... And unfortunately because of the way you have worded your question they have assumed you are after the same. But I personally hate the grey ghost profiles. I think it's shithouse and I refuse to talk to them and I don't read their posts usually either. If they can't make the effort.... I certainly won't either. 👎

I don't think he means fake pictures of other people. He means pictures that don't have to be of the person but maybe something that represents them or shows something they are interested in. Some point of interest of reference. I agree with that, I would rather see pictures of flowers or words or something creative and with imagination ... Other than boring grey ghosts.

Seeing lots of greys is a bit annoying cause I don't know if I'm attracted to them or not. I do understand if some are shy and don't want to put their face on here. I only don't have a photo on my profile because of my marital status and what I'm looking for. Plus I have been getting flirts from people I know in my town and that scares the beejeezus out of me. It's hard to wade through all the profiles around even when presented with a hot profile pic. But I will only show my face after I establish I may have an attraction to someone. Agree with OP. A pic A pic. There are a lot of pics on here that are tasteful, yet don't show full face. I did say tasteful so not meaning a porn shot. Something that catches the eye, rather than an eyeful of Grey Nothing. A picture is worth a thousand words so it can really enhance your profile.

From nasty, to informative, to down right ridiculous......... My two cents... I don't mind the generic pics, the hint, the mystique.... As long as I can see that the person has pics in their PG and that when we get to know each other through messages we can both disclose................. I only know that given the nature of this site, and the combination of its members (that is, some are attached/married, or some live in a small town where everyone knows each other, or some that have conservative families, etc.) it is understandable and acceptable that some women (and men too I believe) do not want to show clear face shots in the public album, but have a copy in their PGs. It is all about protecting one's privacy and preventing any drastic problems from occurring in case they ran into someone they knew. This is particularly sensitive to those attached/married members. Therefore, do not take any comments too personally OP, because not many people on this site are so lucky to be able to walk so freely in the light of exposure :-) Besides, it is really an individual's choice whether they want to show their face pic or not to the public :) - Posted from rhpmobile

Really think it is up to the individual what they are comfortable with I have put pics up, but i get alot of emails saying "they cant be me, that it is a fake profile, where did I steal the photos from" Nature of the site - dammed if you do, dammed if you dont I am happy posting non discript body pictures but not my face, I work in mining, the last thing i need is one of my employees (99% men) seeing a photo of me on here. I have pics of my face in a PG and release them to guys I decide i would like to meet.

We have some touchy people out there don't we :). I read some good points throughout. I agree with what i believe the OP was asking, i see so many grey ghost profiles which is an instant deterrant. (If your not comfortable to show any sort of picture then what am i supposed to think but that your a bridge troll). I don't expect face pics i understand privacy is a great concern on sites like these and not everyone will respect such). Being in the boom suburb of young horny couples and singles and just one shopping centre i'm sure people recognise me when i go there.. But meh :P What also puts me of is a singular pic, especially if its an obscure one. More than one pic will paint a picture, yet can still promote anonymity. Being a bloke i will not recognise you from your luxuriously painted toe nails and legs in a suggestive position. I'm sorry. Old pics really shit me.. I have a good laugh when i look at a profile and their pics are timestamped from 2006 or such. I know girls that do this sort of thing and i don't understand what they are thinking. I can't help but think "wow so the last 8 years must have been terribly unkind to you then!" I personally like to have recent accurate pics up as then i know the person is interested as i am and it helps reduce the awkwardness and second guessing upon meeting. Now I am a very non judgemental man. I have noticed many ladies though mis using the word "curvy". In the olden days curvy meant a little bit chubby or chunky, a little bit extra meat on the bones. It was never meant to mean fat, gigantic, huge, colossal. I really respect those women who use the term BBW on their profile. At least they are letting people know exactly what they are and being honest and proud of it. What I don't like is lies. If you are massive, fat, colossal, huge, don't use the word curvy because in the olden days that's not what it meant at all, far from it. So please ladies please just be honest and say you are a BBW if you are and be proud to fly the BBW flag. I am not sexually attracted to huge women but I have some lovely friends who are huge. I won't lie, of course I'm attracted to hot, slim, well shaped women the most as most men are. I can't change that, it's just the way I was created. I do also like women with a bit more meat on the bones or who are a bit chunky. Some of the hottest women I've met are a little chunky, but that can be hot in itself. Well ladies remember, be honest and if you are unsure if you are curvy or fat just ask the nearest man for his honest, impolite opinion. You would rather know wouldn't you?
