Always under the impression that yes you are mates who also look after each other sexually but not necessarily exclusively.Once upon a time i looked for a girl like that, you know just to hang out with, go see a movie, go to museums, go to dinner with, go on long drives with, go and see bands with, and if there was sex then great if not platonic was ok as well, but i could never find one, probably because i was married and live in Goulburn. As far as hand holding and kissing in public...why not...but then some bona fide couples don't do that either, so i guess thats a person by person thing, some people just don't do public affection.I thinks its really a case of whatever works for the two people involved, but its definitely a deeper more meaningful relationship than being just a fuck buddy in my opinion.Cheers Nev.....

For me, FWB is much deeper than just fuck buddies... FWB talk about things, do thing together that don't necessarily involve sex (such as movies, dinner, shopping etc), but they also have a sexual relationship. A fuck buddy, for me, is just that... you have sex, and that's the entire level of the relationship. As to PDA's - that's an individual thing. Some people are comfortable with them, some aren't. With some of my FWB's, yes, PDA's involved... with others, no. It's whatever works...

I hate to be an ignoramus, but i have learned its better to look silly and know the answer than not! So is a PDA something like an Ipad....lolCheers Nev..... who never asked dumb questions at school!

it took me a while but i worked it out lol....PDA would be public displays of affection...shit i hope im right hehehe as to the question....the way i see it is its your FWB do what ever you want with him...if you want to go to the cinema with him then go, if he isnt the one you wanna take then take someone else do whatever feels comfortable for you and him good luck with it roxxy

Say you had a PA (with a PDA)... is it still appropriate for her to be your FB? Or is she a CWB? And if you have a CWB is it ok to show ODA? Or should you limit yourself to BCDA or PCRDA? . Go on - you know you want to try and work it out... :D

I'm sure there's a balcony in there somewhere though ...But in answer to fizzwhizz's question, a FWB spends time with you clothed and tends to put up with your crap, a FB comes and goes. Literally. A FWB quite literally is a friend with whom you do the things friends do. With benefits - sexually. It's up to the both of you to negotiate what works for you both.

Great profile, love the ice cube idea. Ice cubes alternated with a warm drink always fun.

Tease you and please you...on a regular basis...One of the most positive aspects of having a friend with benefits, is that you have regular contact with each other. This helps to keep the chemistry alive.

No, it is not ok to go shopping and hold hands with your fwb. That's definitely in the gf territory. However, a sweaty prolonged shagging is good for blood circulation, and after all... if they're not good for you... what are friends for? Jean. You're just an asshole or is that a Malarka? :p Hugs Stalky

Then what do you call a friend that you want to fuck but don't? I would never go shopping or out to dinner with a FWB. I might let him MAKE me dinner. Sweet

Friends With Benefits....fun things that friends do together and fabulous no strings attached sensual sex, stay intouch on semi regular basis, laugh with you when happy and have even been known to provide great hugs if ever sad. Fuck Buddies.......only contact you for a mutual fun booty call, disappear totally at the slightest sign of emotion. Fucking Bloody Idiots......appear genuine to begin with, message you constantly, make arrangements to meet for coffee/drinks, cancel constantly (work, kids, pets) then promptly put up a "Date finder" listing for the time you were going to meet. Just love those FBI 's (aka wanna be players with no substance or balls.....timewasters)

I'd agree with that, Lush. I mean great sex is indeed great, but stimulation of the grey matter is just as great. No such thing as great sex with a partner as dumb as a bag of hammers!Nothing beats a day/evening over a coffee/dinner enjoying good conversation. Feeling comfortable with one another and letting nature take its course...Deliciously sweet...

Quoting 'fizzwizz02' Why is is a big no to hold hands & go shopping in public with a fwb? It's not, to me... but then, I'm a very tactile person, and so are my FWB's, generally... however, I have one who isn't, so we don't, because that's not his thing. I think that depends on the people involved.Shopping, though... why is that such a big no?? Do you not go shopping with your friends? So why would a FWB be any different? Especially if they like to shop too!

hmmm, when thinking about it .... yes we do go shopping with our friends, ofcourse .... but holding hands??? lol I personally have only ever held hands in public with a guy when i'v been in an affectionate relationship with them, though now that society has progressed slightly from the cave-dwelling days, and seeing our hands are in fact one of our erogenous zones, it is not to say that holding hands doesn't occassionally become part of foreplay ... better than being dragged back to the lair by the hair, lol Ok ok i concede, strike the 'no shopping / holding hands' comment off my first post and leave it open to individual discretion Lushxxx
