A Beginning Written in Anticipation - Part 1

August 19 2025

Life has been a relentless tide, rising and falling in waves of joy and sorrow. In the midst of it all, I stepped away from RHP, from the noise to seek stillness and rediscover myself. The pause was not easy, the healing not swift, yet the journey was rewarding. Clarity came like the dawn after a long storm; my priorities shifted, my outlook deepened, and I learned the quiet art of letting go.

And then, after what felt like a lifetime, I returned. Among the profiles, one stood out like a flame in the dark. Her words lingered, her presence felt alive and bold, confident, unashamedly herself. There was an energy in her expression that stirred something within me. Drawn to it, I reached out with a simple message, curious to know more.

Days slipped by, and then came the reply. What began as text soon moved to voices over the phone, where conversation flowed without pause, without effort like two rivers meeting. We laughed, we shared, we mirrored each other’s perspectives. Anticipation built swiftly, pulling us toward a first meeting neither of us wished to delay.

Our date is set in a place close to my heart a restaurant where once I lived another life as a chef. The evening will not end there; the town is rich with quiet paths, starlit skies, and hidden corners perfect for two souls curious about where the night may wander. I imagine her eyes, the weight of that first gaze, the unspoken electricity before the first touch, the lingering sweetness of a first kiss. Even the thought of choosing flowers, of what I might wear, feels like part of the unfolding poem.

The skies have been restless with rain, but tonight I hope they clear for her, for us, for whatever story is about to begin.
