A Brief Encounter

I had to attend a conference in Sydney CBD. After finishing my early morning family and work routine, I boarded the free shuttle to the train station. I spent ten minutes waiting for the next service, watching countless women pass by, but one in particular caught my eye. Little did I know, she was waiting for me at my destination stop.

As we both took the same exit, she walked ahead of me while I focused on finding directions to the venue. We came to a halt at a road crossing, waiting for the lights to turn green. It was in those thirty seconds that I felt a magnetic pull.

Standing diagonally next to her, I noticed her petite figure—around 5'3", with fair skin that seemed to glow in the morning light. I loved how she absentmindedly caressed her hair, giving me a brief glimpse of her delicate white pearl earrings that caught the light just right.

As the light turned green, she walked briskly, lost in the crowd, leaving me momentarily enchanted by the fleeting encounter. In that brief moment, I felt a connection—one that reminded me how powerful and beautiful a simple moment can be.
