That night

Man… this happened when I was in Brisbane on a work trip, and I still think about it sometimes.
I was just at a bar, nothing special, having a drink by myself. Then this girl comes and sits right next to me. Didn’t say anything at first, just ordered her drink. But I noticed her straight away—really calm, confident… naturally beautiful without trying too hard.
We started talking. She told me she was from Laos. Her voice was soft, kind of slow, and she had this way of looking at me like she was already a step ahead of the moment. Conversation just flowed… easy, no effort.
After a couple of drinks, things started shifting. Not obvious, but you could feel it. She’d lean in a bit closer when she spoke, her hand brushing mine here and there… and she never really pulled away. Eye contact got heavier. Smiles got slower.
At that point, you just know where it’s going.
So yeah… she came back to my hotel.
The second we walked in, everything changed. It went quiet, but not awkward—just intense. Like all that tension from the bar was sitting right there between us.
We just looked at each other for a second… then she stepped in closer.
After that, it wasn’t rushed or messy—it was just… natural. Like we both knew exactly what we were doing without needing to say anything. She had this confidence, this rhythm about her… really expressive, really in the moment.
Time just disappeared, honestly.
It didn’t feel like hours, but it must’ve been. The whole night was just this mix of energy, closeness, and that kind of connection where you’re completely locked into each other. No distractions, no thinking—just being there.
At some point we just crashed onto the bed, completely exhausted. Didn’t even talk much, just lay there… catching our breath, still close. It was one of those silences that actually feels good.
Later we ended up in the shower, and everything slowed down. Still intimate, but calmer… like the night was winding down without really breaking the mood.
And then… that was it.
She got dressed, no big conversation, no details. Didn’t even tell me her name.
Just gave me this look on the way out… and left.
Never saw her again.
But yeah… easily one of those nights you don’t forget.
