I think with the other posts about swinging while pregnant it wasn't just about the 'special time' for the couple there were also some VERY VALID concerns for the baby's health.In my opinion for a single lady to meet someone for a night of fun is not going to be harmful if safe sex is practiced however the idea of a gangbang/group sex situation is a little concerning to me, even if safe sex is practised i am not sure that we are really designed for this type of activity while pregnant and could you ever forgive yourself if you took the risk and something happened as a result??End of the day you can only do what you feel is right for you, but be prepared for a bashing on here as i think some others will have a different view.Mrs GC

In response to some issues raised by Midnight. You refer to a 32 week fetus. That is in the 3rd trimester (which is 28 to 40 weeks). Most pregnant women I know who are in the third trimester or have have their child have commented on the fact that they didn't want sex in the first trimester because of morning sickness etc (and this is when there is the highest chance of miscarriage) but by the 2nd trimester they felt really horny, however by the 3rd trimester they felt so big and uncomfortable that sex was back to being the last thing on their mind. So we're looking at the period between week 13 and week 27 at most. Well in actual fact the women I know have all said it stops around week 22 - 24. This is before the baby is responding to sounds etc. Also what difference does it make if the father left her pregnant or if she in fact had made the conscious decision to become a single mum by getting pregnant through a fertility clinic (as some I know did)? If the child is wanted it shouldn't make any difference how it was concieved. And does it make a difference to your thinking if she hasn't had sex with any male in years prior to this but the hormones of pregnancy are now making her a little sex crazed? As has happened in the case of one bi woman I know who had only been with women prior to getting pregnant through a clinic. And now suddenly wants to be with men. Another question for the poster who said she can fuck all she wants after the baby is born... well maybe she won't want it then? Especially if she is one of the ones who didn't want it before falling pregnant. And even if she does want sex then it might not be possible because what is she meant to do with the baby? Not everyone has easy access to trustworthy babysitters... and I don't think any of us would want to have sex with someone other than our partner with our baby in the next room. Thanks

Providing the mother is in good health there is no reason to cease sex during the pregnancy. Towards the end there is nothing wrong with gentle sex providing the woman can get into a comfortable position for herself and the baby. This was the advice I received from my obstetrician. As a matter of fact I was advised to have lots of sex with my partner around the due date. Semen contains prostaglandin that softens the cervix and helps it to dilate prior to giving birth. There is no harm to the mother or baby. Where babies are concerned people tend to be emotional rather than rational. During my pregnancy I was often stressed by idiot people telling me what I could and couldn't do and much of it was misguided nonsense although I am sure they meant well. In the end it all boils down to taking a commonsense approach.

Parenting begins before the birth. Personally having a regular playmate might be ok but to consider things like gangbang's during pregnancy just sounds all wrong to me on so many levels. I think like others have said you no longer have your own needs to consider.During my pregnancy I was actually unable to have any sex due to major complications and I lasted 9mths quite fine. I really was not arguing a point at all. If you go back to the information referenced from Johns Hopkins you will note that in essence, other than hopefully normal growth, not much occurs after 32 week….about 4 weeks in to the third trimester and the developmental show is over. Those are researched, documented and proven facts…the facts of life if you prefer. Read again too when the baby begins to actually hear and respond to sound…by nine weeks a developing fetus can react to loud noises. By the end of the second trimester it can hear. All of these are just simple facts…how much risk you want to factor into the life of the baby is up to the mother.|I did say that making love to a woman that is pregnant could be a magical experience when shared carefully and between partners that care about perhaps not only each other but the baby on the way. As for the thought of a gang bang…sorry, that is just disgusting to me and my own opinion.|Certainly the method of conception is irrelevant…the baby is there, and the stork did not bring it, right? I just hope for everyone concerned she makes the right choices. Tell your friend that my friend wishes her all the luck in the world ant that her baby is born healthy, happy and grows up to lead a full and rich life.

As one with a medical background I know that it is safe.... It is up to the individual to make the choice regarding who and weather or not they want to participate... Sex with your partner is fine...as long as the woman is feeling fine and in the mood... Should you have random sex whilst pregnant..? I suggest not for the following reasons: STD's A stranger does not know your body...sex during pregnancy needs to be respected... Rough sex, bondage etc. would not be recommended...for obvious reasons... Keep away from big boys that like it rough...lol Conclusion: In my opinion sex with your partner is fine as long as both of you have been to the Gyno/Obst... and understand what is happenning in the womans body and how a fetus develops... If you have had previous complications with birth you need to consult your Dr. to eridicate any potential problems... If they are understanding they will not have a problem waiting and would be there to support you until birth...!

Most of us really dont care if a woman has sex during pregnancy at all. It is not the sex that those of us who are opposing object to.....it is the random strangers bit, gangbangs etc. l There is nothing wrong with having sex while pregnant. I'm Bi and I have to say I think SOME pregnant women are extremely sexy.
